I bought this product (one of my only infomercial purchases ever) after a 10 year struggle with various mops of different producers and designs. I HATE floor cleaning, but this product is awesome. It still is slow going, but you don't have to go over the same area a lot, just go slowly. It is awkward to use, but no more so than a heavy bucket filled with dirty water. Also, no more need for cleaning products! So my septic system is safer! My husband like it just for that reason. If you hate cleaning like me, I recommend this product to make your life easier.

I received this awhile ago but just now opening to use....the box is pretty beaten up but hoping that unit is perfect...my friend loves hers....we'll see. Again, not like Amazon to receive damaged-looking things.

This product does as advertised and is built using good quality plastics. Makes steam in about 30-40 seconds. If you are going to use it around a sink, bathroom tile above a tub, or windows I would recommend that you only fill the water tank about 1/2 full. Some reviews made reference to microfiber towels that could be attached. The early posts indicated that they shrunk so bad after washing that they wouldn't stay on. NOT to worry, Oreck has quit shipping the units with these towels and I believe you can purchase larger, cheaper ones at Wal-Mart or Target. Oreck also says that you can simply use a bathroom hand towel as they will work fine too. I like the mop, but understand it is designed to sanitize while cleaning a basically clean surface to begin with. If you have gunk on something, you still need to use elbow grease! Some surfaces like tile floors or plastic square tiles should be easier to sanitize and keep clean verses a hardwood plank floor but I haven't tried the latter yet and my homes were built in the early 20's, late 40's and late 50's..
